Human Resources Manual
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach, 2009
(19 pages)
As Head of Staff, Rev. Killoran sought input from existing staff, consulted sample Human Resources manuals from the Unitarian Universalist Association, and reviewed the personnel policies of congregations with positive track records of staff relations. In addition she solicited comments and feedback from key lay leaders, before preparing, and receiving board approval for, the attached document. This manual represents an extensive revision to the previous set of policies, and has received enthusiastic support from staff. Included are several substantive policy changes including the addition of a pension plan for all staff working half time or better, just and comprehensive grievance policies, the addition of Martin Luther King Day as a paid holiday and a new personal leave program.
